Last Minute Super Easy Costumes

Happy Halloween Friends!
This is my best friend Courtney and she decided to be a devil for Halloween! If you ever need a last minute idea this is a great one! A couple of years ago I waited till last minute and came up with 3 costumes in one 5 minute trip to the costume store and used most of my own clothes to do the look!

1st of all I thought I would share one of my obsessions...
One of my favorite accessories for all Halloween costumes is GLITTER!!!! For Courtney's look I used RED GLITTER from Hobby Lobby! You can get it from any craft store.

Make sure you add lots of primer then apply you're eyeshadow. Then apply a liquid liner and press the glitter while its wet so it sticks! You can also use a roll on eyeshadow that has to dry then add glitter before that dries as well!

 So back to the costumes...
When choosing a last minute costume pick something that can be represented by the accessories more than the outfit. For Example:
  • Devil- horns, pitch fork, tail- add your own red or blk dress and you're done!
  • Witch- pointy hat, broom, maybe a fake nose- add you're own blk dress and you're done!
  • Angel- halo, wings- add you're own white dress and you're done
You get the idea... and... All of these accessories are maybe only $15!!!

Hope this helps if you're trying to figure something out last minute!

Project Pink- Breast Cancer Awareness Fashion Show

Howdy!
So I got this really great opportunity to be a part of Project Pink again this year. It's an event put on by the North Cypress Medical Center for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They have a lunch, auction, giveaways and a fashion show! Last year I got to model for White House Black Market and wore an adorable blazer and be-dazzled jeans

BUT... this year I got to model for Scruples Boutique located in Houston, Tx! They had the most adorable stuff! And although I will say it was a little on the expensive side I'm sure you would never run into anyone wearing the same outfit. Everything in there is very unique and well made. I got to wear this gorgeous red dress, it was very form fitting and had just a little stretch. The one shoulder made it look so elegant and I really would love this dress for the holidays! I wore it with gold jewelry also provided by Scruples and I have to say that the dress makes you feel very confident!

sooo in love with this dress!!!!

Find your eye shape...

Absolutely love this makeup artist, Goss is amazing at explaining techniques! I agree with him in this video that you should always know your eye shape when applying eyeshadow it can make all the difference to your face! For myself I believe I have a standard eye shape but I love hearing all of his strategies for application because when I do my friends makeup they are all so different looking it can be real fun but also challenging. I hope you enjoy his video subscribe to both my videos and his! Thanks!

THE PERFECT WAY TO BRONZE

Alright if you're anything like me you are definitely guilty of over bronzing. I have had one too many orange faced nightmares and the pictures to prove it! It had to stop but I was addicted because I was terrified of being pale! My other issue was that I was unsure where exactly bronzer should go!?!? I finally came up with the most idiot proof way to not over bronze and contour perfectly! While the process may look strange, its a face saver! Here are the products I use:

  • MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in the shade Deep Dark (I use this as my bronzer but it can be used as a face powder)
  • Sephora Round Fluffy Brush
  • Essence of Beauty Flat Small Brush
Hope you like the video and that it helps you bronze and contour :)

Smoky Eyes!

So I was in Victoria's Secret a while back and was in line to check out, and like any other normal girl I quickly got distracted by all the goodies that they surround you with. So of course I bought the Victoria's Secret Smoky Eye kit because who wouldn't want their eyes! Needless to say I love it but I will warn you that the colors are DARK and you have to blend a lot to tone it down! There are 2 color options in the kit for your Smoky Eyes... one is blue tint and the other is a purple tint they both come with a lid, crease, and hi light shadow and the liquid like liner is actually really good, but does not dry quickly so be careful you don't smear it! Anyways I use this kit probably every weekend so I recommend it! Enjoy lovelies!

Blonde bombshell?

"I don't mind living in a mans world as long as I can be a woman in it."
-Marilyn Monroe

So I was digging through some old Halloween stuff and I came upon my Marilyn wig. Now I've been a blonde before but never this blonde! And although I would love to be as fabulously gorgeous as her it was fun enough dressing up. But I think I'm considering wearing this costume again ;)
